City of Calgary
The City of Calgary faced a challenge about how to communicate and change peoples mis informed perceptions of where and how the City spent its tax revenues. My team was approached to come up with a solution to engage citizens and educate them.
We came up with an online engagement component to be substantiated with traditional media ads around tax season. My team co-ordinated all the media buys ( TV, Radio and Newspapers), all with a strong call to action pointing at an online education piece.
The online engagement piece included a Video ( storyboarded, recorded and edited in house), which was then digitized to be used within a Flash based online component. Actionscript and Javascript were used to interact with the video actor.
This was very well received, resulting in over 200,00 views over the weekend it was launched.
